Resumo

A motivação na Educação Física influencia a participação sustentada e a continuidade da atividade física fora da escola durante o início da adolescência. Descrever as regulações motivacionais e sua relação com a intenção de ser fisicamente ativo em estudantes de 12 a 15 anos. Estudo quantitativo, não experimental, transversal e descritivo-correlacional. Participaram 170 estudantes (12–15 anos) da unidade educativa "Teodoro Gómez de la Torre". Aplicaram-se a escala PLOC-2 (intrínseca, integrada, identificada, introjetada, externa e desmotivação) e a escala MIFA (intenção). Realizaram-se análises descritivas e correlações de Spearman (p < 0,05); exploraram-se perfis motivacionais. Predominaram regulações autodeterminadas e alta intenção. A intenção associou-se à motivação intrínseca (? = 0,52), à regulação identificada (? = 0,49) e à regulação integrada (?= 0,44), e relacionou-se negativamente com a desmotivação (? = ?0,41). A regulação introjetada apresentou associação fraca (?= 0,18) e a regulação externa não foi significativa (? = 0,06). Os perfis descritivos mostraram maior intenção no grupo autônomo alto e menor intenção no grupo com baixa motivação/desmotivação. Observou-se um padrão motivacional predominantemente autônomo vinculado a uma maior intenção futura; a presença de componentes introjetados sugere que parte do engajamento pode ser menos estável. Recomenda-se fortalecer climas que apoiem autonomia, competência e pertencimento, e ampliar oportunidades extracurriculares acessíveis.
