Resumen
La coordinación motora bilateral es un componente clave del desempeño motor y escolar en la niñez media, y puede estimularse mediante tareas rítmicas y contralaterales propias de la bailoterapia. Evaluar el efecto de una intervención aeróbica basada en danza (bailoterapia) como estrategia didáctica para desarrollar la coordinación motora bilateral en niños de 7–8 años. Estudio experimental, cuantitativo y longitudinal con medidas repetidas (T0 semana 0, T1 semana 12, T2 semana 20) en N = 110 escolares de la Unidad Educativa “5 de Junio” de la provincia de Loja cantón Macará, asignados aleatoriamente a un grupo experimental (bailoterapia, n = 55) y a un grupo control (educación física habitual, n = 55). La intervención duró 12 semanas (2 sesiones/semana, 60 min) con progresión de patrones simétricos a asimétricos y contralaterales. La coordinación bilateral se midió con el subtest de Coordinación Bilateral del BOT-2 (puntaje escalar). Se aplicó un modelo lineal mixto con interacción Tiempo×Grupo. La interacción Tiempo×Grupo fue significativa en el postest (? = 2,55; p < 0,001) y en el seguimiento (? = 1,73; p = 0,009). El grupo experimental aumentó de 10,71 ± 4,43 (T0) a 14,98 ± 4,49 (T1) y 14,51 ± 4,50 (T2), mientras que el control pasó de 10,04 ± 4,00 a 11,76 ± 4,16 y 12,11 ± 4,44. La bailoterapia didáctica mostró mejoras superiores y parcialmente sostenidas en la coordinación motora bilateral, por lo que es una estrategia viable para potenciar aprendizajes motores en educación física escolar.
