Abstract
Assisted human reproduction is rooted in human rights, which encompass rights related to sexuality and, consequently, respect for private and family life. It is essential that the State ensure their enforcement. Assisted human reproduction techniques (AHRT) offer a solution to infertility issues that requires regulation. To determine whether assisted human reproduction is recognized as a right under Ecuadorian law. Qualitative method, with an ethical and legal-analytical approach to human reproduction techniques. In Ecuador, there is a legal vacuum regarding ART, creating a situation of inequality in access to these techniques. While Ecuadorian law does address sexual and reproductive rights, it does not specifically address ART, creating a need to establish relevant regulations.
