Abstract
Administrative efficiency in engineering companies is a key factor for their sustainability and competitiveness, especially in contexts where empirical management models prevail. This article analyzes how the application of good administrative practices can optimize management in engineering companies in Cuenca, Ecuador, characterized by a technical direction with little formal organizational training. Thirty scientific articles published in the last five years were analyzed, selected for their relevance. The results identified five strategic axes: incorporation of technologies, standardization of processes, strengthening of human talent, financial control, and organizational governance. These elements demonstrated a direct impact on improving productivity, reducing costs, meeting deadlines, and decision-making. As a conclusion, a hybrid model is identified that integrates administrative and technical tools, aimed at strengthening organizational efficiency.
