Resumo

A integração da tecnologia na educação transformou o aprendizado, destacando ferramentas como o ChatGPT no ensino de inglês. Assim, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a integração do ChatGPT no ensino superior da América Latina. A metodologia foi qualitativa e descritiva, com um projeto de revisão da literatura. Ele mostra que alunos e professores valorizam o ChatGPT no ensino de inglês, destacando seu potencial para melhorar a escrita, o feedback e o envolvimento acadêmico. No entanto, são identificados desafios éticos, dependência tecnológica, exclusão digital e limitações contextuais na América Latina. Os estudos sugerem a necessidade de estratégias formativas e estruturas regulatórias que garantam o uso responsável adaptado às particularidades culturais e institucionais para maximizar os benefícios educacionais significativos.  Conclui-se que, apesar do notável interesse e do potencial do ChatGPT para melhorar o aprendizado do idioma inglês, há desafios na integração, no treinamento, na exclusão digital e na regulamentação, especialmente nos contextos latino-americanos.
